Testimonial from Kath and James Davies - wedding at Maenan Abbey, North Wales on 22 May 2010
I booked Ed following finding a link on the internet which sparked my interest as my fiance is a massive Fawlty Towers fan as are his parents and, lets face it, most people know Basil Fawlty on sight.
I arranged this as a surprise for my fiance and to entertain at our wedding and boy did it entertain!
Everyone said it was the best wedding they had ever been to all down to Ed's performance, which was outstanding. James was shocked because he had no clue and had even thought to himself on seeing Ed wheeling out a trolley with a covered dish (containing the best man's head!) that he didn't remember seeing anyone who looked like Basil Fawlty working at the hotel when we'd visited previously!
The performance was superb and hilarious and really could not have gone better.
From start to finish making arrangements with Ed was an absolutle pleasure. All correspondence was returned promptly and speaking with Ed on the phone really got a rapport going, which then spilled over on the day itself when we finally met up. Following my initial contact up until the day itself I didn't have one worry about how things would go on the day. Ed is an absolute professional and I had no need to worry about what was happening behind the scenes - it all went so perfectly.
The Manuel/Emmanuel recruitment drive was fantastic and all the "volunteers" played their parts to much laughter and applause. The finale of Viva Espana was brilliant and all the guests really got involved with the singing and dancing. I did not have one negative comment at the end of the day; in fact no-one could believe it and everyone said how brilliant it was and what a fantastic idea.
Ed carries off Basil with ease and has the voice, the mannerisms and of course the height down to a T! James did actually think that Basil had joined us in the room and it was easily the best money I spent at the wedding and equally easily the best present I've ever brought James. How to top it?!
All in all a first rate performance and the best money you will spend on your wedding.

Most people are used to entertainment being on the stage. This is real time meeting and greeting wedding reception entertainment, and during the wedding breakfast, bringing "Fawlty Towers" to your dining tables. "The stage" is your wedding day, "The world" is your guests, your memories and your future. Fawlty Towers was voted the best comedy series in the world in 2007, '08 & '09, '11 and 2012. It represents fun and laughter to all, and is remembered and often quoted by everyone who watches it. Mix and simmer as unique wedding entertainment ideas, with the occasional stir, it melts the ice, and simply the best recipe for a truly unique, hilarious, and highly entertaining wedding event, to be remembered by all, and for many years to come!
A case in point, was a phone call received, out of the blue. It was from a lady who was a guest at a wedding done 8 years before in London. She found Edmond's web site on Google, and exchanged details, she was very relieved she had found the original "Basil & Sybil Fawlty" wedding entertainers she saw way back then. She enquired if there was any chance we could also do her daughters wedding in three months time. She was so excited she shrieked on the phone when she found out we could do it, and couldn't have thanked us enough!

Here's the real words.......
(From the father of the bride)
Hi Ed and Andrew,
Absolutely marvellous,, :-) I'm still giggling thinking about your
performance, your improvisations and interactions with the guests were
a joy. All the guests loved you, even the ex-wife who didn't really want
me to book you said she was glad I did. (I'm free to make decisions
theses days). :-)
A couple of the wedding guests from Canada, who have never heard of
Fawlty Towers, are now buying a copy of the TV series because they so
enjoyed what you did. What more can I say?
Thank you so much for helping to make my daughters wedding such a
memorable event. One of my friends was heard to say, in earshot of his
wife, that it was the best wedding he had ever been to,, he had to
quickly retract that statement. lol
My best wishes to you both.
Roy
Ps. Have you ever done a gig where you, Andrew, a Polly and a Syble
character 'sort of' take over a small guesthouse or such like for an
evening dinner? or if not could you? If it is possible I am thinking
about doing such a thing in the future and finding a small
restaurant/guesthouse/small'sh hotel that would do a private party and
let you run alongside the real staff and let you pretend you are running
the place for a few hours. So as you and Syble check the guests as they
come through the door and Polly and Manuel get them seated,,,, then off
we go. :-)
A sequel in the making!

Hi Ed
Just a note to say thank you so much for making our day last Saturday.
You were such fun and everybody commented on how funny you were.
You really did a grand job and I wouldn't hesitate to have you again for a family function.
Literally an hour ago we have come back from honeymoon to an array of photographs
what a delight they all are.
Thank you so much again Ed
Take care Mr & Mrs Stanley
(A wedding at Birmingham City football grounds)!

Freddie Starr eat my hamster!!!
Ok, so there's some things you can't believe, This isn't Freddie Starr, and he hadn't swallowed Manuel's hamster. However Ed did a gig for a series of managers of Trust House Forte Hotels, where he also entertained Freddie Starr's ex manager. He said "Jeees! I thought Freddie Starr was freakin nuts, but that was sheer genius, Brilliant...well done!!!!!"
